At the Cross Section of Equity and Standards-Aligned Instruction: Participants will learn about the connection of equity to standards aligned instruction as a means of creating the conditions necessary for success for ALL students, but particular those students in marginalized groups and/or underrepresented populations.
Tiffany Besse is a graduate of Lindenwood University with an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Master of Arts in Education Administration and Teaching. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Saint Louis University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in educational leadership at Maryville University, in St. Louis, Missouri.
 Tiffany is beginning her third year serving the Ferguson-Florissant School District as the Deputy Superintendent of Instructional Services, where she leads curriculum, instruction and professional development for teachers, leaders, and coaches serving approximately 11,000 students in 22 schools. Previously, she served the Pattonville School District as the Director of Secondary Education and Associate Principal at Pattonville High School and as an assistant principal in the Rockwood school district. Tiffany began her teaching career as AP Chemistry and Biology teacher in 2000. 
 Tiffany is a believer in the empowerment of young people and professionals to allow for deeper learning and growth in education. She is committed to the work of equity in education in the public school systems she serves. She enjoys learning and is a change-agent for education, for the sake of kids and the greater community.
 Mrs. Besse enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering with her church. She is passionate about collaborating with and empowering leaders and teachers to provide students with a rewarding education, designed for success in an ever-changing, global society.
